Everything. Birthday Book stores the following locally on your device using encrypted device storage:
This data never leaves your phone. We have no server, no database, and no account system. We cannot see, access, or recover your data.
Two features involve sending data to external servers:
In both cases, data is transmitted over HTTPS encryption. Our API proxy does not log, store, or retain any images or personal data beyond the duration of the request.
Birthday Book requests access to your contacts and calendars to find birthdays. This data is read locally on your device. Contact and calendar data is never sent to any server. You can deny these permissions and add birthdays manually instead.
Birthday Book uses local push notifications to remind you about upcoming birthdays. Notifications are scheduled on your device. No notification data is sent to any external service.
Subscriptions and in-app purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store and managed by RevenueCat. We do not collect or store payment information. RevenueCat receives an anonymous device identifier to manage subscription status. See RevenueCat's privacy policy for details.
Birthday Book does not include any analytics SDKs, tracking pixels, or advertising frameworks. We do not track your usage, behavior, or location. We do not serve ads.
Birthday Book does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The app does not require an account and stores no personal data on external servers.
Since all data is stored locally on your device, you can delete all Birthday Book data at any time by deleting the app. You can also export a backup before deleting. No server-side data exists to delete.
If we update this policy, we'll post the new version here with the updated date. Material changes will be communicated through the app.
